About
David Savinar is an artist that wants you to feel good.
With a passion for capturing everyday moments, David brings warmth and storytelling to his paintings. Inspired by years of studying the expressive styles of artists featured in The New Yorker magazine, his work blends humor, observation, and a touch of whimsy. He finds inspiration in masters like Basquiat, Picasso, Matisse, Chast, and Steinberg, channeling their influence into his own unique visual narratives.
His paintings can be found at his studio gallery in Gearhart, Oregon, as well as at Art276 Gallery in Palm Desert, California. A lifelong student of the arts, he has honed his craft through studies at the University of Denver, the Art Students League, the Art Center College of Design, Portland Museum Art School, and Portland State University.
Whether capturing someone waiting for the toaster to pop or a trip to the grocery store, his work invites viewers to step into the story one brushstroke at a time.
If you want more information about David, just contact him directly and have a conversation and maybe a cup of coffee in his studio-gallery.
